In this story CJ is in Egypt, Vienna, the Jungfrau Region of the Swiss Alps, Istanbul, Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. CJ’s professional career flip flops—a combination of his own fateful choices and the capricious nature of international landscape architecture work in the Middle East and North Africa.
During his fateful Egyptian Sahara walkabout, CJ encounters a landscape that erases both his personal life and professional career; but then he recovers his personal life by re-marrying in the Jungfrau Region of Switzerland and reclaims his professional career with new projects in Istanbul and along the desert edges of the Arabian Peninsula. But in the end, his personal life is once again shattered.
After numerous mid-career flip-flops in Cairo, Istanbul and the Persian Gulf, CJ gets battered once again by life’s unpredictability.
